The hostel is also a hotel, the bottom part is the hostel. The facility is clean and there are bed sheets provided with a pillow. They are changed every day. You have access to the garden to go sit and relax. There are no breakfasts provided only a hot beverage. Great service from the morning man. The hostel is opened 24/7, there is always someone there at the reception, so you can arrive at any time! The hostel is located 20 min walk from the Colosseum and 1h walk from the Vatican. I felt safe as a first time solo travelling female.
From start to finish my stay was fantastic. The staff are so helpful and offer a map with detailed info on where to go and what to do catered to your needs. The hostel is EXTREMELY clean, all facilities function well and the garden is great. Well priced and feels like a home. I recommend to anyone in Rome, especially if you want to get a feel for daily life.
I was told by a person in the reception that I can't "sleep" in the garden when other people are having breakfast. I merely asked if I could go and sit in the garden for a bit as I was tired and I was informed by email previously that I could do it.
Anyway, I left, came back in the afternoon to check in and was greeted by a very kind man in the reception.
You can't cook in the kitchen. The doors don't have locks. No ceiling fan, 1 standing fan for 4 beds.

So more than 10 years ago, almost 15 I solo tripped here from Canada. Landed with an old map, no such thing as Google Maps then. I finally found the hostel after hours of walking and I was exhausted. The manager/owner was so nice, so incredibly nice. He made me some food, a coffee and an orange juice. The service was 110% for my entire stay. I even stayed extra nights here. The yard is beautiful. It was so quiet and professional, I cannot honestly say enough good things. I believe it was 2008 or so when I was here and I still think fondly of this hostel, almost like it was the highlight of my trip.
The hostel staff were exceptionally nice and went out of their way to assist us. The garden area is nice to relax, but there wasn't a great sense of community with the other travellers. They only accept cash for payments and withdrawing money was very hard for us nearby, because our cards did not work on many local ATMs. The beds are also not the nicest, they sag in the middle a lot. Good for a cheap night to stay near the city center, staff made up for the slight downsides!

The hostel is very clean, the rooms are tidied up every day, it takes about 40 minutes by bus to get to the center of rome, the garden is very nice
Unfortunately, the rooms do not have air conditioning, so it gets very hot. But that's just a small flaw.
I would recommend the accommodation
Clean rooms very friendly and helpful staff and a nice garden view. No ac but it’s cool at night here and both the bathroom and bedroom have big lovely old windows that open to let a nice breeze in. Very nice.
